At the beginning I was skeptical about how Karla could help me with a pain that I had in my hip and back for more than one year. I tried chiropractics and found no relief. I actually thought I might have to go to a phisician to look at more invasive options.
My wife encouraged me to visit Karla and give it a try. So I thought she meant to go to a Pilates class. After meeting Karla I realized that her approach towards body awareness and alignment was deeply founded in solid anatomical and movement fundamentals and plenty of practical experience.
Karla carefully analyzed my walking, stance and overall movement with every excercise she indicated. I am deeply grateful and happy I gave Karla’s Op/en Method a try. Now my rectus abdominal diastasis has reduced by 2 cms after six months, and my hip and back pains disappeared after 3 sessions. I know that Karla’s Op/en Method teaches me to develop my own body awareness inside as well as my movement through space. My body intelligence has a voice now…. my motto towards excercise change from “no pain, no gain” to “no feel, no gain”.
